Election: Vote by Mail Information

Upcoming Elections:

Annual Town Election - Tuesday, May 13, 2025 - polls open 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM-Truro Community Center

Last Day to Register to Vote for the Annual Town Election - Saturday, May 3rd, 2025* until 5:00PM  (Online or In Person)

  • *May 3rd Registering to Vote In Person will take place at Truro Central School until Town Meeting ends then continue on at Truro Town Hall until 5:00pm.
  •  By Mail: post-marked by deadline (5/03/2025)
  • Online at MA Secretary of the Commonwealth's Office website (https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/): Submit by 11:59 PM

Vote By Mail Information:

To obtain an application for a Vote By Mail Ballot, please click the link above or visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website. Applications may be sent by mail to the Town Clerk's Office or dropped off in the Official Ballot Drop Box located in the front of Town Hall. Applications may also be submitted electronically by fax to 508-349-5505 or e-mail to ntudor@truro-ma.gov as long as your signature is visible. Mailed Ballots must be requested in writing at least 5 business days before Election Day. No ballots can be mailed to any voter whose application has not been received by 5 PM on the 5th business day before the election.

  • Family members are now allowed to request an Early Vote by Mail ballot on a voter's behalf. Family members can also return the ballot for the voter as well.
  • Any form of written communication requesting a ballot is sufficient. Application may be signed electronically, as long as the signature is written in the same manner as the hand written signature.
