About the Truro Cemetery Commission
The Cemetery Commission is an elected body of Truro residents who preserve, operate, and oversee the Town cemetery cemeteries for the benefit of Town residents. Responsibilities include landscape maintenance, historic preservation, sale of lots, burial permitting, record keeping, and public outreach. Any Truro resident may purchase a lot in a Truro cemetery and all cemeteries are non-denominational and non-discriminatory. Burial plots can be used for a traditional burial or a cremation burial, and for natural or green burial in designated areas.
