Transportation services are available Monday thru Friday for medical appointments. Medical appointments are given a priority. We also provide transportation to Truro Council on Aging for all programs, classes, community luncheon and food pantry.
Scheduling a Ride:
Reservations must be made 8:00am-4:00pm during business hours. A minimum of two business days (48 hours) is needed for all ride requests. Prior to scheduling a ride a transportation assessment must be completed. The following information must be available when calling for a transportation reservation: name of rider; phone and address, physician’s name, phone and address or the address of an appointment if other than medical; date/ time of the appointment and approximate length of the appointment.
Rider Guidelines:
- Please note that the starting pick up point and return destination must be within the town of Truro.
- Appointments should be scheduled between 9:00am and 2:00pm
- Transportation provided on Cape Cod vehicles do not go over the bridge
- We do not provide rides for any surgical procedures or procedures involving any type of anesthesia.
- Riders must be able to enter and exit the vehicle independently unless accommodations are requested due to disability.
- Rides maybe limited if we cannot meet demand
We will gladly continue to accept donations to help offset the cost of providing the ride but ask that it be done in the form of a check, preferably mailed to the COA. Drivers cannot handle donations at all. The donation box will still be in the vehicle for you to use if mailing a check is a problem or you prefer to use cash.
Fees are not required for this service, but voluntary donations are appreciated to help defray the vehicle costs to the town.
