Open Space Committee
General Information:
In accordance with the town charter, this committee has been established as a seven-member committee effective January 13, 1998, and amended 10/1/01 to all members shall be at large. Charge amended on 5/18/2005 to a five-member committee. The Board of Selectmen will be the appointing authority.
The Truro Open Space Committee in collaboration with the Truro Recreation Advisory Committee and consultant, Jeff Thibodeau of Helios Land Design is updating the 2023 Open Space and Recreation Plan. A vital component of the plan involved public participation, which was garnered through virtual and in-person meetings, surveys, and more. Successful updating of this plan will make Truro eligible for important grant funding. Survey results will be summarized and shared with the public soon.
