Volunteer Opportunities
The Town of Truro offers many opportunities to volunteer and support town departments and/or committees. Below are a few resources for you.
Recreation and Beach Department
The Recreation and Beach Department is always seeking volunteers.
Current needs:
- April 2025: T-ball and softball coaches. T-ball is for grades K-2 with one weekday afternoon practice. Softball is for grades 2-6 with one weekly practice and one game.

Council on Aging
There are many volunteer opportunities available at the COA to enrich your life and the lives of others.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- COA lunch server
- Greeter
- Newsletter folder
- Receptionist
- Office support
- Food delivery to home bound seniors
- Assist with leading a activity or program
